Mission Statement
The mission of the Black Rock Foundation is to promote the healing of addiction.  We do this through raising public awareness of the current science regarding the chronic, manageable brain disease of addiction, with the intent to incite understanding, compassion, and prayer for the individual suffering from addiction and for their loved ones. This shift in public consciousness is crucial to increase access to treatment and  affect recovery rate.  We use the tie-dye ribbon as a reminder to pray.  Black Rock Foundation holds that all forms of prayer are valuable.


The Peter P. Black IV Memorial Scholarship fund supports educational and personal development goals for addicts who demonstrate dedication to their recovery process.  Preference is given to those whose goals involve helping other addicts recover.
